There you have it! And since different types of wood can have different densities, then of course they can contribute to the sound/tone.

While it is easy for me to understand why an instrument maker would put care and consideration into selecting wood for certain sound/tone characteristics, I'm still not quite sure why it is so upsetting for others to learn this.
