This. So much this. I have so many songs that I then relate to a specific time or place. Im kind of a nostalgic person, (is that even correct english?) and I like to relive good memories, music is the best way for me to do that.

When I go to school its music all the way on the bus and same on the way home. Some lessons where you can listen to music like maths or physics I do that. When I get home its either listening to music or playing music. Although when I sleep I dont have any music on.

True!

When I teach and require the students to do some group work, I play music at a very low volume and it makes them more productive. When they are taking a quiz or test, I play zen focus music, and it makes them really quiet and focused even when they're done.

I teach 4 classes one after the other. The rest of the day is usually planning for me. This is also my de-stressing time as some classes could be really stressful. I listen to calm music, usually worship music, and it calms me down as it reminds me of what is my purpose in life.

Thanks Ms. Aly, for bringing this up! I love Christopher Cross too! I watched his concert once and I realized that he was actually an excellent guitarist too.

I like a warm beverage in the morning, drank coffee for years but I can no longer have caffeine so I go with decaf. Decaf tea too. I have a heart arrhythmia & caffeine makes it worse.

Music for me is weird now. I have to be in a good mood and I prefer music that is emotionally neutral. I'm way too sentimental with stuff. So many songs remind me of old times, where the future was bright, loved ones were still alive, so instead of lifting me up, it's a major mental bummer trip. I think it's why I prefer to create a song by playing to a new backtrack, it has no associations to the past. I used to be a music nut, I listened to music hours a day and played my guitar hours a day.

Everybody loves music.

I read someplace that when they do a MRI scan on people's heads, if the play music the whole brain lights up. So maybe music is like brain coffee.

I could not live without music! Everyday I listen to it. Your work place should be illegal :-)
