I never saw your gear- perfect; a telly, strat (that's a strat copy?), and a LP- nice. I finally have a LP now.

The 15 post rule is to keep the spammers away.

Welcome, Guy.

I was a letter carrier and the carrier next to me in the morning, well his real name was Guy but his name to us was Tony. Guy was his legal name. So one morning we are sorting our mail and getting ready to go out on the street to deliver and this new supervisor walks up to me and says, lets go guy. So I get up and follow him into the office and he starts to lecture me and then reprimand me and Im like, what the hell are you talking about?? He says, you are Guy right?? I said, no, Im Tom. Guy is the carrier next to me out there. I took it as he was using the term guy, as come on guy, lets go. Anyway, when that circulated that supervisor was a good target for about a week!

LOL!!! That's awesome!! Real name is Matt. My line of thinking was basically the same. Come on guy think of a name.

I'm working on some gear porn for everyone as well.

That's funny. As a kid, a friend of mine had an older brother named Guy. Still, did you work in a place so big, your supervisor didn't know who you were???

I work in a place where's there's a couple hundred people, but at least we know who people aren't.

The next time you get reprimanded, just say, I'm not Tom, I'm Guy.

I hate when someone uses "Guy," or "Buddy," especially when they know you. Well, some people are just bad with names, I guess.

Are you Canadian? All Canadians are named Buddy. Even the women. Fact!

No, I'm not Canadian. It's not a term I frequently use. More something that comes out when I'm failing at trying to be funny.

About 90 carriers there but the new supervisor was a "carrier" in training to be a supervisor. I don't remember the circumstances but we did not know him very well. He may have transferred in and been there a few weeks and then put in for supervisor. I was route 32 and Tony was route 33 so the supervisor may have just walked up to the wrong route and used the term guy, and I followed. It really was a classic.

At that point I had been there about 18 years so with very few exceptions, we all knew each other well.

Thanks. Still not sure I'm worthy of it.
