I have not read the whole thread but we have been here before. Does anyone believe that wood can make a difference on a non amplified acoustic?

Just curious.

Since it's made of wood, it makes a difference. If you have no wood, you have no guitar. Tone doesn't come from a tree species however. It comes from how the guitar is constructed.

A stronger piece of wood can be made thinner allowing it to flex more.

Just to state the obvious, on most any forum, "we have been here before" on most any subject.

It makes a huge difference; most of the difference. The guitar body IS the amplifier. Mahogany sounds different than spruce, big bodies different than small. different types of bracing using different materials, etc.

Acoustics and electrics are very different.

People do not have gender, words have gender masculine, feminine or neuter, people have sexes of which there are two.

You are right that the way it is constructed is what makes the difference. I don't think it's accurate to say that mahogany sounds different than spruce. I know that one is supposed to be "warm" and one is supposed to be "bright" but I don't think that is accurate. There may be something to that only if all mahogany has a different density than all spruce.

It's the construction that is what accounts for "tone".

Take away guns from law abiding citizens and only the bad guys will have guns.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Libtard, liberal, progressives just want to take your money and let illegal immigrants into this country to take our jobs and rape our women.

Tone wood, I know it when I hear it.

Of course there is a God, all you have to do is look out the window.

So, if we outlaw wood, only outlaws will have guitars with good tone?

No, but only outlaws will have wood. Tone comes from Baby Jesus.

if Tone wood isn't then why do collectors of violins choose certain types and check them for tone quality
