Default Help with D/F# Chord

A friend at work asked if I could play dust in the wind. I used to play it but honestly, I forgot some of the parts. I was reviewing last night and I came to the D/F# chord.

I looked up the chord. The formal chord is not what I was playing. I takes four fingers. I was playing a simplified version with two fingers but can't remember it.

Can any of you recommend a simple form in the first position since I'm picking?

Not 2 fingered, but this is what came to mind, and you could play the F# in the bass with your thumb.

I don't get my thumb over very far but I can play the other version pretty easy. On the simplified version you should be able to play the open A string also if you need too. It's part of the D chord.

To play Dust correctly you need three fingers:

Code:
  ||---|---|---|---|---|---|---|-
  ||---|---|-3-|---|---|---|---|-
  ||---|-2-|---|---|---|---|---|-
 0||---|---|---|---|---|---|---|-
  ||---|---|---|---|---|---|---|-
  ||---|-1-|---|---|---|---|---|-
