Default MIDI Keyboard Latency in USB Connection

I'm about to buy Nektar Impact LX61+.

Do I come across any Latency (Delay) problem when I connect it to the computer via USB.

Computer
ASUS N552
OS : Windows 10
CPU : Intel 6700HQ
RAM : 16GB
HDD : Samsung 750 EVO
DAW : Cubase 9

If you do, return the computer. I had no latency with a midi keyboard on a crappy Asus netbook with far inferior specs than yours.

You'll know for sure when you plug in.

Midi is midi.

So an old keyboard that you find at a yard sale puts out the same thing as the fancy controller.

Whether or not you have latency using a virtual instrument is all about the computers processing power to make the sound and your sound cards low latency ability to get the digital signal turned into audio and out to your speakers/headphones.

Need both things to work as well as set up right. Not that hard to do.
You keep lowering the latency on your sound card until it has problems then raise it up to where it was working.

What latency is your card set at?
