Default Scuffham S-Gear Amp/FX Sim Software

Just saw some YT demos, and it looks impressive. Fully unlocked demo available: https://www.scuffhamamps.com/ $99 sale. Downside, sale ends tomorrow.

Just installed it, and not getting any change in sound through my interface, and my DAW isn't picking up the VSTs so I'm going to reboot.

This guy is a killer player using the S Gear:

I demoed te S-Gear SW a while back. I bought Amplitube 4 instead thinking it was a better "deal". I regret it now. S-Gear sounded better.

Did you get it working? The demo on YouTube sounds pretty good.

No. Something was up with my interface, which is my THR amp. I couldn't get my DAW to recognize the plugins either.

I have Bias FX pro, but I was curious. I have the Amplifi TT which is an interface and fantastic amp/fx simulator, but I pick up noise through the computer.

I really put it up for members, since I've spent a crapload of $ on stuff. Still I was curious. Maybe over the weekend I'll play with it.

Mac or Windows? I think with Mac I had to create some sort of combined interface for the DAW to see it. I recall it being simple but not obvious.

Win 10. When I opened the program, a sound configuration window popped up. I selected Asio, then the THR as the input and output device. I could see the sound meter move on the program.

I then tried my Bias program, which I haven't used since I got the Amplifi, the only effect I could really hear was reverb from whatever selected amp. But the effects were minimal. It was late, so I didn't spend a whole lot of time with it.

I was able to d/l Bias fx lite for free. Not sure how that works with Bias Amp, but that didn't seem to work either.

Probably the most sensible thing for me to do is, simply use the Amplifi as both my interface, and simulator. It's very intuitive, and the effects is hardware based- but again, I pick up some noise from it, and that bugs me.

IF the S Gear blows me away, I might spring for it, but this is the kind of thing I can wait for a sale on. My interest was simply piqued.

I would love something like the Axe FX, but aside from the cost, the thought of programming something gives me a headache. I have the Boss ME-70 mfx pedal which has great sounds, but I always use it in manual mode.
