Default Is this a genuine Fender pot?

The one on the right I see is genuine as it has a "Fender" logo on the back. The one on the left however doesn't. It just says CTS. Both were in separate Fender pouches. Right says made in Mexico, other is Taiwan.

So, is it a genuine Fender pot?

CTS are good quality pots many manufacturers of instruments and effect pedals use them. I know that Gibson replacement parts come in 2 levels, normal level which are CTS pots and their logo pots which they claim are bench tested to tighter specifications than normal level. I'm not sure if Fender is the same but pretty sure both of those pots could be Fender OEM.

Wow. I read the title of the post, and thought you were asking about the other kind of pot. As classic said, CTS is one of the big manufacturers of pots (not pot). Top end stuff.

I've bought "genuine" Fender pots before, and some looked like some generic 3rd party stuff. I don't think Fender make their own pots. Hopefully, whatever you have is within reasonable tolerance levels.

Well, original (older) Fenders came from Fender with CTS pots in them, so I suppose you could say that most any CTS pot of the correct value is 'original Fender'. As Slim said, Fender didnt manufacture pots. They simply outsourced hardware, as almost every guitar manufacturer did (and still does), and as Rock said, CTS is a very good pot. I'd use that, just because you know its a CTS pot.
I doubt the 'Fender' branded pot is any better of a pot, if thats your concern.

Thanks!

My concern is that, if one sells me a Fender item, then I expect a Fender.

My worries has been cleared. Thank you all!
