Octave Pedal experience/suggestion?

I am looking for a good affordable octave pedal for my guitar-bass project as you can see in the other thread and the video below.

Anybody with experience with whatever octave pedal there is available in the market? I prefer the China ones though so it won't break the bank.

I am looking at the Aroma Octpus Polyphonic Octaver which is the same as the Mooer Tender Octaver which was discontinued recently because it's an EHX Nano POG clone.

I have an octave pedal. I bought it used and its a brand name(probably BOSS) but I'd have to go find the case its in to tell you the brand. It says Octaver on it. It has an on and off foot switch and knobs for how much guitar you want and knobs for how much bass you want. Using the knobs you can blend them however you want. You can drop a note one octave or two octaves or both dropped octaves and still have guitar. When I'm feeling lazy and don't want to use my Bass, I just hook it up to my guitar and turn the guitar knob down so only the Bass note plays. Then I can play bass without all the stretching. There is one really bad thing about octave boxes. If you play chords, you will learn in about 3 seconds that its a big mistake. Its definitely meant to play solos only. Sometimes you can get away with two notes if you are playing really high notes. If you want to save money, I suggest you go to a music store and try the Boss Octaver and then find a Chinese Octave box that works the same and sounds the same. I hope this helps.

Only advice I have is to break the bank and get a POG. I have e both the Regular POG and the POG2. Both are excellent.... truly polyphonic so you can play chords and absolutely no glitches up and down the fingerboard. I assume the nano POG is just as good.

Even I don't use it a lot I own for maybe 30 years a BOSS OD-1, the old one and it does the job nicely and has a almost cult reputation. They are not expensive and always worth be tested.

Just received a Aroma Octpus Polyphonic Octaver I ordered through eBay. I am disappointed with it. It doesn't track well. Doesn't sound well either. I guess I have to break the bank on either a EHX Pitchfork or Boss Octave.

Octavers Rule !

Their are many units out there to choose over .

:hehe:
I have one in my T.C.Helicon Voice Live 3 X .
I can lower my vocal too :headbang: but this is not
a low cost entry level piece of gear :scary:

Here's just one webpage of many the many Chinese vendors with guitar pedals :

I have a Boss Octave OC-3 now. Tracks ally well! Almost no lag! But bass sound is not so convincing. I'm selling it and try TC's sub n up because its in the price range.
